Mandirs In Panchetgarh

Mandirs in Panchetgarh

Faith • Architecture • Sacred Heritage

One of the greatest contributions to society by the Choudhary Dasmohapatra family of Panchetgarh was the construction of numerous mandirs across the vast width and breadth of their riyasat. From Balasore to Pataspur, innumerable temples dedicated to various Hindu gods were built, representing a wide range of mandir architectural styles.

As a result, Panchetgarh today is adorned with many pristine mandirs, each housing its virajman deities and attracting thousands of devotees throughout the year. Owing to this remarkable spiritual heritage, Panchetgarh is rightly known as the “Village of Temples.”

Festivals such as Janmashtami, Rash Utsav, and Dol Jatra are celebrated here annually with devotion, music, and ritual grandeur.
